Credit cards are accepted for payment on more and more places in Brazil. This is very easy for the customers but Brazilian shopkeepers pay high fees. If a Brazilian shopkeeper offers a discount, this offer is not always valid if you want to pay by credit card. In general, the difference is a very small for foreigners.
