Traveling the Northeast of Brazil
 The Northeast is the poorer part of Brazil but it has a lot to offer the tourist. It has beautiful beaches and the weather is almost always good. Even the seawater is comfortably warm thoughout the year.
Towns like Recife, Natal and Fortaleze still breathe the atmosphere of the colonial era. Many buildings remind of the 17th century when the Dutch colonised this area. Since the colonial era, the economy of this region was based on the cultivation of sugarcane. Large quantities of slaves were transported from Africa to work on the sugarcane plantations.
