Getting in by Plane

Most tourists land in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo or Fortaleza. It is possible to fly from these cities to other Brazilian cities but this often requires travelling to another airport.

If you are leaving Brazil you will have to pay a departure tax. Some companies have included this in the ticket prize, other companies demand that this tax is paid in cash on departure.
