Zefa di Zeca

Published by Dona Brasil on 2007/6/27
Zefa di Zeca

The band Zefa di Zeca from the Brazilian Northeast is hardly present on the internet. A YouTube video, a fotolog and an Orkut community. That's all. And that is a pitty, because the videoclip they uploaded to YouTube is really nice.

The fotolog describes their music as “Forró Universitário” with influences of people like Luiz Gonzaga, Mestre Zinho, Trio Xamego, Dominguinhos, Trio do Nordeste, Jackson do Pandeiro, Trio Virgulino, Chico Pessoa, O Bando de Maria, Bicho de Pé, Buchicho, Raiz do Sana, Forroçacana and others. The band is from the city of Salvador (Bahia) where it attracts a loyal audience. The members of Zefa di Zeca are Carol Mazzochin (voice), Marcelinho (Sanfona), Léo Saci (Triangle), Lino Tutuba (Zabumba), Rômulo (Bass guitar), Luíz Cardoso (Classical guitar), Pedro (Guitar), Anderson (Flute) and Joison (Percussion).

We hope to hear more from this new sensition in the Brazilian music scene!

Update: they uploaded a new videoclip! Thanks!
